One of the key components of the PACS approach has been to strengthen Civil Society Organisation (CSO) partners and the Community Based Organisations (CBOs) that they support.
Many of the CSOs funded by PACS are small organisations with limited capacity and skills. As well as supporting them to carry out PACS-funded projects, PACS has invested in and strengthened these organisations by providing a range of training opportunities to help them to develop their capacity.
This capacity building work has all been part of the PACS plan to leave a lasting legacy of empowered communities and organisations who understand their rights and entitlements and have the confidence and skills to negotiate with others to claim them.
