In an attempt to bridge the prevailing gaps in the health sector, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to set up a private public partnership cell in the state health department.

World Bank supported UP Health Systems Strengthening Project would support the state government in this regard. The fact came to fore during a consultation workshop organised by the UP government to deliberate over various aspects relating to the PPP policy. Chief secretary Jawed Usmani who presided over the event said that PPP is a good way to bridge gaps in healthcare.
