What is the eligibility criteria for CSOs (civil society organisations) to receive grants?

To be eligible for a grant from PACS, a CSO must be a legally registered not-for-profit organisation. The CSO must be registered under FCRA and Section 12A of the IT Act. The CSO must be able to establish that it has a good understanding of and commitment to PACS issues and goals. For more information, please read the concept note guidelines.


Is the grant application process still open?

No. The current round of grant-making has been completed. Further rounds, if any, will be announced on this website and in regional dailies.


How should CSOs apply for grants from PACS? How are applications processed?

Can a CSO based in a district not covered by PACS submit a concept note for a project proposed in a district covered by PACS?

Yes, if a CSO has the required organisational capacity, it can submit a concept note for work in a geographical area outside its current coverage area.
