The CNI-SBSS aims to promote the social, economic and political inclusion of the adivasi, Dalits and women to access government services, resources and basic human rights.
The project will be working in 348 villages in the two districts of Maldah and Jalpaiguri in West Bengal. CNI-SBSS is being supported for implementing the project for four years
CNI-SBSS aims

Improving allocation, access and delivery of government programs and entitlements to socially excluded groups.

Capacity building of socially excluded groups so that they can influence the decisions of Gram Sabha (village self governance mechanism) and village level committees.

Effective monitoring and accountability mechanisms at the village level governance.

People are equipped with adequate skills to set up effective and sustainable business models by accessing appropriate markets and financing.
About CNI-SBSS
The Church of North India established the Synodical Board of Social Service (CNI-SBSS) as an organization for social concern and human development in the year 1970. The prime commitment was to build comprehensive communities with integrity of creation centring on justice and peace.
For the last 35 years, CNI-SBSS has had a rich experience of being a resource sharing and capacity building agency that engages itself with the struggle for land, livelihood and tribal identity, in more than 1,711 villages comprising of 1,664 community based organisations, 11 people organisations, and 1,598 self-help groups.
