About NOSKK
Nari-o-Sishu Kalyan Kendra (NOSKK), a women-headed organisation, was registered in 1979 in the backdrop of the voluntary work provided by different women's groups.
The name of the organisation means 'women and child welfare centre' in the regional language of the state, Bengali. The organisation works with extremely marginalised people and helps to make them self-reliant.
NOSKK also works with Muslim communities; socially excluded women and children from scheduled castes (SC;, scheduled tribes (ST); other backward classes (OBCs); migrating women zari workers; and child labours. It aims to lead them towards a productive and dignified life in a sustainable society.
