The AAINA project works towards an inclusive society, with a special focus on access to livelihood and education opportunities for persons with disability (PwD) and children.
The project's purpose is to enhance livelihood options of PwDs and women by promoting their rights under MGNREGS and reduce the social acceptance
of discrimination on the basis of gender, caste, religion and disability at school by promoting inclusive education.
The project will work in 350 villages in the Kandhmal and Boudh districts of Odisha. PACS is supporting the project for four years.
AAINA aims

Advocating a formal process of enrolling PwDs in MGNREG along with a suitable employment for them under the scheme.

Improved access for socially excluded groups to sustainable livelihoods through MGNREG and other poverty alleviation schemes.

Improved enrolment, attendance and retention of children belonging to excluded groups in schools through citizenship governance.

Enhanced participation of children to reduce discrimination of socially excluded children in schools and villages.
About AAINA
AAINA is a state-based voluntary organisation in Odisha, which was formed by a group of professionals working on a rights based and inclusive approach for the overall development of marginalised sections of society.
The core objective of AAINA was to address issues that hindered the developmental processes of society, focusing on the marginalised groups. The organisation has expertise and experience in working with disability, including action projects, training workshops and advocacy at different levels.
