The MGSA project aims to secure and enhance land and livelihood opportunities for excluded communities.
The project's purpose is to provide secure livelihoods to scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST), single women and persons with disability (PwD) through democratic accountability, responsiveness and transparency in governance systems.
The MGSA project is working in 388 villages in the Jhabua, Raisen, Sagar, and Sheopur districts of Madhya Pradesh. PACS is supporting the project for four years.
MGSA aims

Awareness building on rights and entitlements of socially excluded communities on sustainable livelihoods.

Enable tribal and Dalit community leaders to participate in the local democratic process at Panchayat level, to ensure opportunities for excluded communities.

Securing land rights for women, enabling them to be socio-economically independent in their community.

Tribals and Dalits secure land and livelihood rights through legal ownership of their occupied revenue and forest land.
About MGSA
Mahatma Gandhi Seva Ashram (MGSA) was founded in 1970. The organisation was founded by a renowned Gandhian, and 100 volunteers. MGSA works with tribals and Dalits to secure their land and livelihood rights.
The vision of the organisation is to secure and enhance land and livelihood opportunities for excluded communities, particularly scheduled castes (SC), scheduled tribes (ST), and other minority communities including single women and persons with disability (PwD).
