Non-discriminatory access to livelihood rights through the Forest Rights Act (FRA) and revenue land.

The aim of the EFT project is to secure land and livelihood rights for socially excluded communities.

The project's purpose is to work with tribals, forest dwellers, Dalits, Muslims and other marginalised communities, to sustain their socio-economic condition in the state through community-based organisations and people's groups.

EFT is working in 274 villages in the Raisen, Sehore, Betul and Mandla districts of Madhya Pradesh. PACS is supporting the project for four years.

EFT aims

  • Ensure land and livelihood rights for scheduled tribes (SC) and Dalits through ownership of their occupied (revenue and forest) land.

  • Ensure rights to community over revenue and forest land and other common property resources.

  • Enable community leaders from socially excluded groups to participate in the local democratic process at Panchayat level for greater participation and inclusion.

  • Provide land rights to women belonging to socially excluded communities.

 

About EFT

Ekta Foundation Trust (EFT) is a sister organisation of Ekta Parishad and was founded in 2004. As a part of Ekta Parishad, EFT is a federation of community-based organisations formed by marginalised and landless people working in seven states of India.

EFT is primarily engaged in raising the issues related with land and livelihood rights which enable them for sustaining their socio-economic situation.
